Max Brooks is coming to my campus to do a lecture on how to survive a zombie attack, I cant wait until the 27th.  Wonder if he will do a book signing afterwords...

Its a community college, Harper College, however we've had individuals and groups such as:
The Grateful Dead
Nancy Cartwright (The voice of Bart Simpson)
Kari Byron and Tory Belleci (from the mythbusters)
and now Max Brooks just to name a few.
I didnt go to see the mythbusters last year but im definitely going to make it a point to see Max Brooks if I can land tickets tommorow. Definitely going to bring my guide even if just for fun.

Id say just use a sniper rifle and perch ontop of a tower. Many buildings, such as old churches, water towers, and what not the only way into the tower is by ladder and seeing as zombies cant climb ladders thats a natural barrier to them. By using a sniper rifle with a silencer and keeping your form concealed the zombie horde shouldnt notice you.
By cherry picking the head you will destroy the brain where the virus controls the body, of course there is the subject of the zombie decompossing however if shot at from a distance the threat of desease from the decomposing flesh should be minimal.
So long as you keep yourself hidden, have an ample supply of bullets, a food supply for during your camp, and can hit a slow moving target you wont have to worry about allowing a zombie to get within a few feet of yourself.
